I want to thank Billy, Kelly, Malia, Marcel, and all the staff and coaches at the Newport Aquatic Center (NAC) for making this such a fun summer for me and my family. I still love being able to train at the NAC five days a week, and now my kids love the NAC, too, thanks to Billy, the staff, and coaches. Caleb was bit by the rowing bug at the Novice and Advanced Rowing Camps -- he has decided he wants to try out for the team his freshman year at Newport Harbor; and Gracie had lots of giggles at the Outrigger Kids Camp. Caleb was also able to do a little volunteering at the kids camps -- a great opportunity for him to step out of his comfort zone. Cheers and Aloha to a great summer!  I highly recommend checking out the NAC to experience the Newport Harbor on a Stand Up Paddle Board, Kayak, Outrigger or Rowing boats-fun for adults and kids!!!

So Proud of My Newphew

I am so proud of my nephew Solomon Riseley. Him and a group of his high school friends served at an indigenous church on the outskirts of Quito. They helped run a program for children called Happy Feet that included face painting, nail painting, balloons, washing feet, and sharing the gospel through making bracelets. Washing their feet and giving them brand new shoes was incredibly impactful. Not only is this a beautiful picture of serving others how Jesus serves us, but it was a practical way to meet the physical needs of the kids.
