Laguna Beach Real Estate &
Local Guide

Living in Laguna Beach means having the coast, the village and the hills all within reach. Mornings can start with a walk along the beach or coffee downtown, afternoons wandering local shops and galleries, and evenings watching the sunset from one of the many coves—it’s a community where art, nature and coastal living are woven into everyday life.

And while Laguna Beach is known around the world for its coastline, it’s the distinct neighborhoods, locally owned businesses, schools and creative community that give it its character. From walkable village living to homes tucked into the hills or overlooking the ocean, each pocket offers a different way to experience Laguna Beach.

Find Your Neighborhood.

Laguna Beach may be small, but each pocket has its own personality. From the walkability and energy of the Village and the oceanfront feel of North Laguna to the tucked-away coves of South Laguna and the hills around Top of the World, where you live can completely change how you experience Laguna.

Finding the right neighborhood is about knowing whether you want to walk to coffee and the beach, wake up above the coastline, or retreat somewhere a little quieter at the end of the day.

Deborah’s local knowledge can help you understand those little differences that you won’t always find in a listing.

Deborah’s Favorite Places.

Make a Saturday morning out of the Laguna Beach Farmers Market, open from 8:00 AM–1:00 PM, for fresh produce, flowers and artisanal treats. Then take your time wandering through town, popping into the galleries, locally owned shops and cafés that give Laguna its personality.

And don’t miss Peppertree Lane—one of those tucked-away Laguna spots that’s easy to walk right past, but worth exploring once you know it’s there. Part of what makes Laguna special is that the best places aren't always the biggest or newest—they're the little shops, cafés, and corners you find when you actually walk it.

Get Outside.

Laguna Beach gives you the ocean and the hills. Walk the bluffs through Heisler Park, explore the tide pools and hidden coves, hike from Top of the World, or head into Laguna Coast Wilderness Park for miles of trails and coastal canyon views.

For a slower start, roll out a mat for beach yoga with the sound of the waves in the background. And with miles of coastline to explore, sometimes getting outside is as simple as picking a beach, putting your feet in the sand and staying for sunset.

And with seven miles of protected coastline, sometimes getting outside is as simple as picking a beach, putting your feet in the sand and staying for sunset.

Deborah’s Local Tip: Park the car and take the trolley. Laguna is much better when you don't have to look for parking.
